HYPERFEST GT (HFGT)

HFGT, HyperFest GT

Our team at HyperFest and the National Auto Sport Association would like to present HyperFest Grand Touring, or HFGT. HFGT is a series that incorporates all the rules of the NASA CCR and classification standards, but also applies a wow factor seen nowhere else. From our beginnings in 2002, we have always wanted to build something special with HyperFest. One of our goals was to build the bridge between professional and amateur sports car racing.

WHY IS THE SERIES SPECIAL?

In HFGT, drivers will have their own run group at prime time during HyperFest on Saturday when this awesome new class of racing hits the asphalt. One series. One group. One winner.

“Coming from someone who has raced in NASA since I was 16 years old, sharing the track with other groups can be challenging with traffic but also lacking publicity for the drivers as there are so many classes on track. It will be nice to see drivers get their own group and really get out in that spotlight.”

- Jack Cobetto, founder of HFGT

"Hyperfest Grand Touring is the series I've been waiting for. With so many different classes on track these days, it's nice to have one single group to highlight great cars, fast drivers, and amazing camaraderie. No matter where you are on the grid, you will have the time of your life and the greatest battles you've ever had in HFGT. The close racing amongst very different cars will make you a better driver in the process. All the hard work that Chris, Jack, and the rest of their team have done over the past year has paid off and I can't wait to be a part of the HFGT series."

- Griffin Gamcsik-Uly, BMW M3 / ST4 Racer

WHAT ARE THE HFGT RULES?

HFGT follows closely the rules of ST4 designed by NASA. ST4 is already a booming class inside of NASA and this series gives those drivers a chance to fight for something more than a regular race win. If a car fits in the ST4 umbrella, then it will fit into HFGT! Drivers will provide the forms and dyno sheets required by the ST4 rules and give them to the series director. When it comes to technical inspection, cars are required to pass the NASA annual tech inspection. Cars and drivers will comply with NASA CCR rules in the form of licensing and any sort of compliance/incident report.
