KONI downhill ATTACK by jet-hot

Got an old Power Wheel collecting dust in your garage? Here’s your chance to repurpose it into track car. Don’t have one, no worries, there’s always a bunch on Craigslist for sale and if you want to go all out, you can always purchase a new one. The Koni Downhill Attack by Jet-Hot gives you the chance to race on the iconic VIRginia International Raceway just like the pros for a fraction of the cost (and the size).

Easily one of our most popular spectator activities in recent years, the Koni Downhill Attack by Jet-Hot is your chance to show your kids what their toy is made of. This is absolutely the cheapest way to experience the legendary "Roller Coaster" section of the 3.27-Mile Full Course at VIRginia International Raceway during this year's HyperFest.

Everyone who wants to get on track will get a chance. Only 50 lucky drivers will be able to compete for the Championship.  Don’t despair because ANY driver that registers will get at least one shot for immortal glory in the “All Race”. If you didn’t make the first 50 cut off, make sure you still register for the wait list.

If one of the first 50 registered drivers is unable to attend or doesn’t check in at the event, you may get called in to fill their spot. Make sure that if you want to drive, you follow all pre-event instructions received and that you physically check in at the HyperFest Information Booth on Saturday.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

All drivers (pre-registered, wait list, or last minute/at the event) must check in at the HyperFest Information Booth on Saturday from 9AM - 3:30PM to sign waivers and get their race number. Wait list drivers will be notified if there are any unclaimed spots in the race after 4:30PM.

Heat RACES

3 heat races of 20 drivers each, who were first to register and snag a spot in this popular activity. The top 3 finishers from each heat race will get a front-row spot in the All Race for the Championship!

ALL RACE

Takes place directly after the Heat Races.
All registered driver can participate, even if you weren’t in the top 3 of the Heat Races.
Features 200 Power Wheels and their brave pilots conquering the Roller Coaster.
Did we mention it has a LeMans style start? Yeah, it’s awesome!

WHAT DO I NEED?

All you need to compete is a Power Wheel, a helmet, and your skill (..err maybe more like courage). Participation is free and in addition to bragging rights for a year, you also have a chance to win $100, some other great prizes, and most importantly one full year of glory and bragging rights.

As in previous years we are also hosting a Concourse-style car show for the Power Wheels Attack! race cars. Let the crowd come check out your incredible child-sized creations.  Registration opens at 11AM and the judging will start at 3PM. The winner will be announced track side before the big race.
